Anderson Towne Center

CINCINNATI, OHIO

Known as the entertainment and retail heart of Cincinnati's Eastside, Anderson Towne Center features 650,000 SF of shopping, dining, and lifestyle options. The open-air design invites guests to walk around, enjoying the beautiful landscaping and boulevard townscape before stopping to eat, shop, or catch a movie.

In the middle of it all, the Clocktower is an identifying element of Anderson Towne Center. As a local landmark in the pre-existing section of the center, it was vital to the property owners that the clocktower play a prominent role in the new design. To achieve this, the tower was picked up and moved, rather than dismantled, during construction, presenting a difficult but not insurmountable challenge.

JMR+H served as the lead architect for this $19M project. New work included demolition of existing structures, re-purposing of existing buildings, and the addition of nine new buildings, public spaces, hardscapes, and landscaping.
